Burke Museum

We recently went to the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture. It's pretty cool; they have tons of fossils. The fact that I get in free because of my UW card sweetens the deal. I liked the gigantic squid shells, as well as the fully reconstructed plesiasaur skeleton, Mariah agrees (although she liked the Hawiian nose flute, too). Here's a picture of her with an albertosaurus skull (a distant ancestor?). This is one of the only pictures I could take before being scolded by one of the museum's hall monitors... what a snitch.
